About Fortnite^® Creator ft Fortnite^® Camp

Kids will unlock their creative potential by designing and building their own custom worlds in Fortnite™. Through guided lessons and hands-on practice, campers will learn the ins and outs of Fortnite Creative mode, mastering map creation, game mechanics, and interactive design. They'll explore how to construct unique environments, set up objectives, and program gameplay features, all while honing their strategic thinking skills. With expert coaching, campers will gain a deeper understanding of game design, develop critical problem-solving abilities, and discover how creativity and technical skills combine to create immersive gaming experiences. By the end of the camp, they'll not only have crafted their own Fortnite™ maps but also gained valuable insights into game development and design principles that will set them apart in the gaming world.

What You’ll Learn

• How to make your own map in Fortnite ^® Creative
• Basic Principles in Unreal Editor
• Establishing interactive gameplay elements, objectives, & rules
• Scripting & Logic

Important Details

• Open to all players aged 7-17
• 15+ hours of instruction and coaching from Collegiate level esports athletes
• Multi-day camps in which each day's activities build progressively on the previous one, 3+ hours per day depending on location
• Bring water and necessary snacks

Sample Schedule

• 9:00am: Intro and Ice Breaker
• 9:30am: Intro to Unreal Editor
• 10:30am: Making Your Own Map
• 11:30am: Playing other students’ games

Age & Eligibility

Campers must be between ages 7 - 17.
